Traditionally, around the world and in the Republic of Moldova, activities for the International Campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" kick off on November 25, which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and conclude with International Human Rights Day.
Every year, the Republic of Moldova joins this global movement, reaffirming its commitments to ensure the prevention and combating of violence against women at the national level—a phenomenon that affects our society and each citizen, whether directly or indirectly, through the costs we incur to mitigate the consequences of violent acts and the negative impact on the socio-economic development of any country.
In 2022, the international campaign has the slogan: UNITED in activism for the elimination of violence against women and girls!
The campaign reiterates the necessity to fight for the immediate eradication of gender-based violence and for the creation of a world where girls and women feel safe.
