The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection supports the economic integration of domestic violence victims

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, in partnership with the Women's Law Center and with the financial support of UN Women, organized five regional workshops on the economic empowerment of domestic violence victims. The events took place between July 23 and 30, as part of the project "Supporting Multi-Sectoral Efforts to Prevent Violence Against Women by Providing Comprehensive Assistance Services to Domestic Violence Victims, Including Through Economic Empowerment Programs."

The workshops were held in Hîncești, Bălți, Soroca, Telenești, and Ștefan Vodă, bringing together 84 specialists from the field of social assistance, representatives of territorial employment subdivisions, and providers of specialized social services from 33 regions of the country. Of these participants, 10 were men and 74 were women, representing various regions including Anenii Noi, Basarabeasca, Bălți, Cahul, Cantemir, Călărași, Căușeni, Chișinău, Criuleni, Dondușeni, Drochia, Dubăsari, Edineț, Fălești, Florești, Glodeni, Hîncești, Ialoveni, Leova, Cimișlia, Nisporeni, Ocnița, Orhei, Rezina, Rîșcani, Soroca, Strășeni, Șoldănești, Ștefan Vodă, Taraclia, Telenești, and Ungheni.

The topics discussed included: effective interaction with domestic violence victims, ensuring an efficient multi-sectoral response, access to a full cycle of support, and the intervention plan for economic empowerment.
