On December 1, 2022, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, in partnership with the International Center “La Strada” and UN Women, presented the Evaluation Report on the National Strategy for the Prevention and Combating of Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence for the Years 2018-2023.
Recognizing the seriousness and scope of the phenomenon of domestic violence, this report highlights the gaps and lessons learned that will serve as a basis for future recommendations.
The event was moderated by Ms. Lilia Pascal, head of the Gender Equality Policy Directorate within the Ministry.
The objectives of the Evaluation Report on the National Strategy for the Prevention and Combating of Domestic Violence for the period 2018-2023 are:
- Understanding how relevant the National Strategy was.
- Determining the level of implementation of the general objectives of the Strategy.
- Identifying the causes that led to the failure to implement the general objectives of the Strategy.
- Analyzing and presenting the main gaps in the implementation process, etc.
Representatives from administrative authorities with responsibilities in the prevention and combating of violence against women and domestic violence, intergovernmental organizations, and civil society organizations active in the field participated in the event.
