The mapping study of services and response capacities to gender-based violence in the Republic of Moldova was presented during a consultation workshop

The results of the "Mapping Study of Services and Response Capacities to Gender-Based Violence in the Republic of Moldova" were presented during a consultation workshop held on December 28, 2023.

The development of the mapping study of specialized services for assisting victims of violence against women and domestic violence is a measure included in the Action Plan for implementing the National Program for the Prevention and Combat of Violence against Women and Domestic Violence for the years 2023-2027.

The study provides an overview of existing national services for victims of gender-based violence, and its findings will contribute to determining priorities for improving the coordinated response to violence against women and domestic violence, as well as developing the concept of an integrated social services system for victims of violence against women and domestic violence.

Additionally, the results of the mapping will serve as support for specialists in the prevention and combating of domestic violence and the rehabilitation of crime victims, who will work within territorial social assistance agencies starting in 2024 as part of the "RESTART" social assistance reform.

Furthermore, the conclusions of this study will serve as the basis for developing a national concept of services for family aggressors and quality standards.

The mapping study of services and response capacities to gender-based violence in the Republic of Moldova was conducted by the GENDER-CENTRU Public Association in partnership with Sociopolis Consultanță SRL, with support from UNFPA and UNHCR.
